In addition to one-on-one direct service to students, I provide ongoing consultation and case management, and have presented on topics related to educational therapy, learning strategies, and teaching to Bay Area schools and parent groups.
*Maria holds a M.S. in Teaching and multiple-subject credential in Childhood Education from Fordham University and earned her Educational Therapy certificate through UC Riverside. She taught in elementary classrooms for six years in both New York City and the California Bay Area.
Since becoming a learning specialist in 2012, she has worked extensively with elementary, middle school and high school students with a range of learning challenges, including ADHD, dyslexia, math and Executive Functioning deficits.
